Mental Health Integration Models
Gloria Rodriguez, President and CEO of the Community Clinic Association of Los Angeles County (CCALAC) was the keynote speaker at a joint meeting of the Clinical and Mental Health Work Groups of the SRHHI. She shared a model for integrating behavioral health with primary care and facilitated discussions related to the development of a similar model for Skid Row.

November 29, 2006

Boston Healthcare for the Homeless visits Skid Row
On November 29, 2006, Dr. James O’Connell, President of Boston Healthcare for the Homeless visited the Initiative, spent time discussing models of care, and promoted the importance of integrating behavioral health with primary care. After the meeting, Dr. O’Connell toured the community, which included a stop at the Downtown Mental Health Clinic.

Foundation "President and CEO"
Mr. Fred Ali, of the Weingart Foundation attended the quarterly meeting of the SRHHI. He shared with the group the Foundation's interest in the continuation of the collaborative and integration of services on Skid Row. Member present expressed gratitude for the Foundation's investment in the SRHHI and discussed the importance of the City and County to the planning processes.
